In Sanskrit, Leela (लील) means divine play the cosmic game through which consciousness explores itself. Rooted in Hindu philosophy and played for hundreds of years, Leela is not fortune telling. It is a mirror.
Each roll of the dice reflects where you are right now your patterns, your blocks, your hidden gifts. From the very first roll, the game begins to read you.
The board is built of seventy two state squares arranged in eight rows a geometry drawn from ancient cosmological maps of consciousness.
Snakes carry the player to a lower level not as punishment, but as adjustment. A necessary return to what was skipped.
Arrows elevate through higher planes of awareness. Virtue and insight move the player upward through the board's eight rows.
Square sixty eight is where the game begins, and where the game ends. The player returns to the source they never truly left.
Brought into the modern world through Harish Johari's 1974 book. The oldest surviving board is an eighteenth century Jain version from Rajasthan.
Jung wrote of the meaningful coincidence between inner and outer worlds. Leela is that principle made tactile the dice as oracle, the board as soul.
Synchronicity is a meaningful coincidence in time of two or more events, phenomena, or thoughts that share the same or similar significant content. This coincidence cannot be explained by conventional causal relationships, but it appears spiritually significant and not accidental.
